People with Disabilities Services Facilities Foundation (PEDISEF)
A Non-Governmental Organization led by Persons with Disabilities in the United Republic of Tanzania. Founded in 2023 and officially registered on 30th July 2024 with registration number 00NGO/R/7150.
A founding story rooted in lived experience
PEDISEF was founded in Dar es Salaam by a small group of people with disabilities and their families who were tired of being spoken about rather than spoken with.
What began as an informal support network grew into a registered non-profit running structured programs in advocacy, education, healthcare access, and skills training — always designed alongside the people they serve.
Our Mission
To strengthen the Foundation for advocacy and promotion of inclusive rights for Persons with Disabilities across socially, economic, and development sectors in Tanzania, without any form of discrimination.
In short: We fight for Tanzania where every PWD has equal access, equal opportunity, and equal dignity.

A Tanzania where Persons with Disabilities live with independence, respect, leadership, and full participation in society.
